Exploring viewers’ perceptual inferences, the blue-boned remnants of an otherworldly being sit on display. While trying to make sense of this unknowable being’s alternative morphology, this work questions what it means to defy taxonomic categorization. How can we rethink the relationship to our body and the categories it fits into/defies?
