Embodied Infrastructure is a new series that examines invisible disability through the lens of familiar industrial forms. The project includes wall-mounted ceramic sculptures featuring photographic decals, along with graphite drawings from photographs and also more experimental material rubbings. The sculptures explore peculiar yet everyday material interactions—for example, using the intricate networks of deteriorating industrial piping as a metaphor for faulty connective tissue, or reimagining the simple bricks that frame square sidewalk tree planters as cellular structures. These works aim to evoke the often unseen and uncanny internal experiences of the body.
