Embodied Infrastructure
This new series explores invisible disability using common industrial forms. This project will comprise new sculptures and new drawings. The sculptural elements will mimic aspects of industrial spaces and architecture that draw parallels with the microscopic human body. From thinking about the intricate webs of decrepit industrial piping as metaphor for faulty connective tissue to reconsidering the simple bricks that outline common square sidewalk tree planters as cellular structures. These new works speak to invisible, internal bodily experiences.
This is an ongoing project. Please check back for updates and exciting ways to connect this coming Fall 2024!
